I first read the book to see what really happened during the War of 1812. The thing I heard most was that Canada burnt down the Whitehouse which I knew was not true. I read the book and found out it was British regulars and that no one really won the war. In all, the book was clearly written out, it had great illustrations and easy text boxes with each battle/after action reports. However, the book itself was a little short and the lack of evidence did not clearly give me the full information of the war of 1812. I would recommend this book to those who would like to know more about the war of 1812 as it really is an easy read.
