This love story of Jag and Faith book was anmazing! High school sweethearts and then hockey took Jag away to play pro, so they were separated for 10 years. Due to his best friend lies that pulled them apart physically; however, their love remained strong and finally they found their happiness together.
Sweet second chance romance. Have to love a book where there are people you just love to hate. I counted three. But in the end they did have their happily ever after.
Note: book needs editing. It isn't bad just to me they popped out of the page. Didn't distract from the book.
Faith and Jag have loved one another their whole life and now as they are going into their senior year, he has been accepted into the academy to help him become a much better hockey player. It's always been his dream to play hockey and be the absolute best player. Faith has always wanted to be a hairdresser, which she will pursue after graduation. Jag has just finished the game and they have gone through their ritual and his bestfriend Blaine is next to her waiting for Jag. Only Blaine tells her Jag has been accepted into the academy instead of waiting for Jag to tell her. Jag is not happy to find his girlfriend in the arms of his bestfriend, then when he sees her face he demands to know what Blaine did. As they hold one another they promise that nothing will get in the way of their being together, nothing! A few months after Jag leaves Faith finally receives a letter from him that breaks her heart! She replies back and things are set in motion that changes both their lives. 10 years later she is hurrying to get to her appointment across the parking lot of where she works and isn't paying any attention and runs right into a wall, ok not a wall, but a very solid man. When he says her name and offers her his hand to help her up, she can't believe it's really him! They talk and are almost about to kiss when a woman asks who she is. Sheryl😡 the woman reporter who is out to make Jag's life miserable! How did she find him? Why can't she leave him alone? Faith gets in her car and makes it to Vail 15 minutes late. Jag answers Sheryl that Faith is his fiancee! Now he has to find her so hopefully she will agree to the lie. Thankfully she isn't married as he heard that Blaine passed away last year. They had only been married a year before he died. Will she agree? What secret does Jag have? What will the letter Blaine wrote on the day of his diagnosis reveal that she was to read on the one year anniversary of his death? So many questions so much to find out! Read this great story by Cami Checketts to find out all👍
On the anniversary of her husband's death, childhood sweethearts Faith and Jag try to work through misconceptions from a decade ago when he transferred to a boarding school with a better hockey program. Both think the other tossed them aside. Jag is also dealing with a devastating medical diagnosis and a vengeful tabloid reporter.
Trust is a commodity in short supply for the pair. They know it is needed for a healthy relationship, but learning to trust again is difficult. Can Faith leave the valley where she spent her entire life and create a new home in Boston where he works?
I received an ARC copy of this story from the author and voluntarily chose to share my review.
This book is a great read. I love that Jag and Faith are both persons of character with integrity and humor. I love just as much that they make mistakes and even occasionally do something to hurt the person they love. I especially love that they can overcome the hurt and pride to forgive each other. I love that they build their relationship with humor, love and trust.
Jag and Faith are high school sweethearts. Jag is a hockey star and moves to a private school to further develop his talents and, of course, they vow to stay in touch. But life happens and they somehow have slipped away from that vow. Will they be able to get back on track and build the life of their dreams? A beautiful, clean, Christian romance to cry with and smile with.
A fun, quick read. I love the undying devotion Jag and Faith have for each other even as the world conspires to pull them apart. Sometimes they are deceived by those who would hurt them and their love is tested. The message behind how they overcome that hurt is what makes this book special. Both characters are lively and fun which gives this story extra charm.
This sweet romance spans several decades. Jag and Faith were high school sweethearts. When Jag got the opportunity to go to a special hockey school, they both wrote letters to keep in touch. Blake was Jags best friend in high school but he also loved Faith. This fake fiancé story is delightful!
This is an amazing as well as an inspiring love story with endearing and forgiving character that will steal your heart and touch your soul as she show us all what unconditional love really means.
This is an amazing book. What was meant for harm turned out to be for good. Faith and Mag were blessed to get their happily ever after even with Kay's disease hanging over them despite Blaine's underhandedness!!!!
Have you heard of the story of HS sweethearts that believed they’d be together forever...and then life happened? This is ghat story! This couple gets a second chance...but will they take it? Great story with all of the feels.
I enjoyed this book full of misunderstanding that need to be corrected to bring them together. Lots of swoony kisses and sweet feelings as they try to overcome the problems of their past, encouraged by family and friends.
Faith and Jag get their second chance in this delightful story. It’s amazing how deceitful and/or delusional some people can be, but the author describes it perfectly. Faith and Jag still have issues to overcome. I loved the epilogue.
I scan-read a lot of this story. The characters seemed to fly back and forth between extremes so that the love didn’t feel settled. More like lightening in a jar.
This was a great book to read. I married a hockey player, so I always enjoy reading stories that involve hockey and love. I look forward to reading more by Cami.
