Raine Carpenter My world has been taken from me. For so long, it's been just my sister and me. Now, she's gone. No one will help me find her. So, I take off on my own to bring her home. It may not be the smartest decision, but I'll do what I have to. One meeting is all it takes to change my entire life once again. Satan turns my world upside down. Can I trust a man like him? Am I cut out for his lifestyle? Kyle 'Satan' Jones My life is simple and revolves around the club. I'm the President of the Blazing Outlaws MC. We walk, and live, on the wrong side of the law. The one thing we don't tolerate is violence of any kind toward women and children. After rescuing a group of women and children, I meet the woman that's going to be mine. Whether she knows it or not, I'm claiming Raine as my ol' lady.
So as with all MC books I'm always hesitant on how the author is going to handle certain tropes - primarily the club girls and the very loose grounds for what is considered cheating. That being said I appreciated that Satan (dumb name) was very focused on Raine and really kept away from other women once he decided she was 'his'. Raine was legit because she took no shit and not in an obnoxious way. I loved how she got the club ho's in line and she rarely cowtowed to the men. HOWEVER THAT SHIT WITH HOLLIE AND CAPONE IS NOT OKAY. That entire scene in the book was not handled correctly. It was jacked of Capone on multiple levels but the fact that Raine just forgave Satan for watching/getting off to it was crazy! She came there to tell him she was pregnant only to find him watching her sisters boyfriend or whatever you wanna consider Capone as gang bang a ho and you're cool with it? It also sounds like the second book is about Hollie and Capone with Capone being of the notion that HE IS DOING HOLLIE A FAVOR by fucking other women until she's ready for a relationship with him. I LITERALLY CANT EVEN HANDLE THAT LOGIC. I could never be in support of that and I wish Hollie wound up with Wrath. I guess the fact that I'm way more focused on a side characters story line shows how interested I was in the main one...

Not sure how to rate this yet. It’s an MC romance so you know these days, that means no man keeps it in his pants...even if he is the hero of the book. Not saying that’s what happened here, but with those thoughts in mind, I knew not to expect much.
It was an ok story. The men seemed a little off to me. Like, one minute they’ve all got this “I can do whatever the fuck I want, fuck whoever I want “ attitude...blah blah blah. But then in the same paragraph, they talk like they’re women...using words (and explaining shit) I just can’t see bikers doing. For the most part, I thought Raine was ok. For a president, I thought there were times Satan was often missing his balls, but whatevs.
I had a whole big rant about Hollie’s book who is up next.
So this one was an ok story but I don’t like Capone so I won’t read his book and not sure whether I will try another.
This not-quite-a-review ended up being longer than I thought it was going to be...

This book drove me bonkers! Okay so Satan is the president of the Blazing Outlaws Mc. Raine's sister goes missing from her college campus and Raine gets word that she has been rescued by the mc .
You would think with them rescuing her sister that Raine would be grateful but instead she's a class A bitch. The writing is a bit disjointed and inconsistent. On one page Capone is waiting for Hollie and only wants to be with Hollie. Then suddenly he's been screwing sometimes 3 whores at a time.
Again Raine resist Satan and he asks her for 2 weeks to prove to her that he can be faithful and make her happy . All the sudden a couple of days later she's his old lady. Oh! To claim an old lady they have to have sex for the first time with two officers from the MC witnessing the act. These old ladies are supposed to be held up in the highest respect so this just seemed pretty disgusting to me and again inconsistent.
Then we have Hollie who was kidnapped and raped. Satan's VP Capone is all twisted up over her but while he's giving her time to heal he is screwing every whore he can find. I truly despise this dude. I hope the author kills him off. Did i mention he sleeps in Hollie's bed every night ?
As a friend described this it's a bad accident. You can't look away . The story made me want to know what was going to happen but so many things made me angry in the book. The story has so much potential but it could have been a lot shorter. I felt that it ran on way too long .
This wasn't a bad story but definitely could use some hardcore editing!
So you mean to tell me that a man rescues a group of women and girls…GIRLS, who were being trafficked, t takes them back to his Clubhouse, introduces them to women who he calls bunnies. This group of women are there specifically for the sexual pleasure of the MC members, at any time, any place. The irony, the hypocrisy. The bunnies are assigned to take care of the women and girls that were rescued. The male lead goes off to have a meeting in his office and then what seems like maybe 15 minutes later let’s give them 30 minutes he and the other members go off to find women to have sex with because he needs to blow off steam. what the absolute disgusting storyline is this? You rescue women and girls who were going to be sex, trafficked and not 30 minutes after you walk in the door of your clubhouse you are now going off to have sex with a woman who is there specifically to service you because she’s a sex worker. Unbelievable. Who is getting off on this crap? I will continue to call out authors, especially female authors, who I read 99.999% of the time for this horrible disgusting narrative. This is not romantic it’s not sexy it’s not erotic it’s disgusting. It bothers me that there are readers out there giving books like this five stars, four stars three stars two stars. I would give it zero stars if I could leave a review. SEX SCENES – Yes, 1 between the male lead and a “bunny“. I stopped reading.
When Raine Carpenter's sister disappeared, Raine became relentless after the cops failed to do anything about it. She tracked every lead and now a lead that sounds like they may have found her sister, has Raine heading into the Blazing Outlaw MC territory.
Kyle 'Satan' Jones knows the minute he sees Raine he wants her but he figures she wont be sticking around once she gets her sister but when she does he acts on it. The problem is though Raine is not sure she wants to get involved with Satan, she definitely is attracted to him but he is a one woman man?
This was good, I will say that before they get together he sleeps with someone else which if that is a trigger you may not want to pick up. This was well before they begin though so I found that it was easy to get past it in the story. Overall great story, I am a bit torn on if I want to read book 2 but I am intrigued enough that I am going to give it a shot.

Satan sleeps with a clubwhore after meeting h and feeling a pull towards her. If they know that the clubwhores want to be old lady's why not lock your doors and stay sober so you have better judgement. The next book is Capone and Hollie's. He wants Hollie but gets releases elsewhere. I'm so tired of these double standards. Why can't the guy just jerk off?

I really enjoyed this story and I know that Raine didn't really understand how MC clubs worked at the beginning and especially with some of the occurrences with the club guys and what they call the club girls as bunnies. I don't always agree with some of them either, especially when they are having sex in front of everyone and also how possessive the bunnies get with the members. Of course it makes no sense to me as to why any female would want to give their bodies to different men. Raine was looking for her sister that was kidnapped and found out that the club actually rescued women and girls and she showed up at their bar and met Satan and she realized that they had rescued Hollie and they met with each other the next day and eventually decided to move there for now and for Hollie to see a therapist to work through her kidnapping and rape. Raine was also pretty sure that Satan would never just be faithful with her, so she kept him at a distance until he asked her to give him two weeks to prove his loyalty to her only which he did and she became his ole' lady and he put her in charge of the club bunnies and of course a couple thought they were going to remove her and step into her place as the club's Queen. She showed them. Happy reading.
In all honesty, I only read this book because I have to read a series in order, and I was intrigued by Book 2's story line. Maybe that's why I am having a hard time writing this review. It was ok as a good series opener, but I don't really have an opinion one way or the other. As is, I was highly entertained because I didn't take it seriously. If I was reading for content, this book would have been highly lacking. It could use a really good editor or even some good beta readers.
I kind of knew what I had signed up for by reading some of the reviews. I agree with some of the things that were said, but I also think some of the reviews are overly harsh. For example, there were times when I wanted Raine to take a back seat and really pay attention to what was going on around her. However, to say that she grows into this queen bee character isn't really fair. She's pretty consistent from the get go, and you can really see her take-no-prisoner attitude from the moment she walks into the bar. You can show strength without being too aggressive, and I really wish she would have dialed it down a few notches.
Wow! Erin I would love to live inside your head. Your talent at story telling is amazing. You write alpha males with hearts of gold for their sassy women who are made for them. Satan and Raine's story is not an Insta love kind of story. Well for Raine its not for Satan he's ready to stake his claim only minutes after meeting the fiery woman. Raine only has 1 thing in her mind and it sure isn't the president of the Blazing Outlaws. Their first encounter stems from an event that has changed someone whom Raine loves very much. As These two navigate their lives into a relationship we get to see at what lengths Satan will go for Raine. If there was anyone perfect for Satan it is definitely Raine. We get introduced to all kinds of characters and I can not wait to see just how each of their stories play out.
This book was do confusing. You have Satan who knows from day 1 that he wants to be with Raine. She holds him off for so long that I'm surprised he even bothers any longer. She's timid and won't say anything to the club bunnies.
Then, she realises he's a keeper. Doesnt care that much that she has to have sex while 2 officers "watch", and she gets to choose who. Now, who does she choose, her boss and the man who her sister is falling in love with WTF!!!
Now, this woman has said sexual act, gets her cut (they call it a rag) and all of a sudden she turns into bitch from hell with the club bunnies. They have no clue where her attitude has come from, and to be honest neither have I.
After this, there are a couple of things that happen, but nothing much to keep my interest going. It fell a bit flat towards the end which is a shame.
This is the first book in the series and so far I am enjoying everything about it. Rain has only one thing in mind and that is to find her sister that has been kidnapped so when she gets wind that her sister is at the local MC she is determined to go and find her, little does she know that her life is about to change and she’s going to meet the man that’s going to complete her. Satan is the president of the local MC And he’s the kind of man that when he wants something he claims it and eventually it becomes his so when rain walks into the night club, determined to get answers on her sister‘s whereabouts, he decides then, and there that he has found everything he wants in this woman and is going to do everything in his power to keep her.so excited to read the next book in this series.
This book had the potential to be great, but it never made it there. When the best characters are the supporting characters and not the main characters there is a problem. Raine started out good, but then she quickly became a schizophrenic person with too many personalities and not anyone that I wanted to read about anymore. Satan wasn't great, but he was better than Raine. At least his character held true to how he started out which Raine did not. There were spelling and grammatical errors galore and it continuously pulled me out of the story more so than Raine's behavior. I want more stories for the supporting characters. They seem to be more dynamic than the main characters in this stories.
I really really wanted to like this author/book, but I actually didn't finish it. Which goes against everything I am. The story line had all the marks for a good book. The development of the characters was awful, the development of the characters relationships were nonexistent but we were expected to believe they were in one. It went from I hate you to sure let's consumate our relationship in front of people. The sex scenes were again nonexistent. Everyword was over the top dramatic. Even after all that I still tried to keep going and ultimately I just couldn't do it.
This book is a good start to this new series. Love the characters. Some really good twists and turns plus action and romance. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is due to the editing. This book needs a lot more editing. There are wrong words used, paragraphs in the wrong place and parts of the story say one thing and later in the book when those things are mentioned again, the details are different than what they were originally. I have read all the books by this author and this is really unusual. But, won't keep me from reading her books.
I really enjoyed the characters and storyline. I can see future books being added to this series without any issues. Satan and Raine are so compatible together. They are both strong individuals who make a great team. I’m so looking forward to Capone and Hollie’s story regardless of if they end up together or not! My biggest fault with this book is the editing. There were a lot of spelling and grammar issues. But that’s a personal problem for me, they really didn’t affect the storyline.
The story is amazing and keeps you on your toes. But this really really needs to be edited. There are paragraphs where the scene is further along and then all of a sudden it restarts in another paragraph. As I read the book the writing got better. I loved Raine & Satan's story but im really looking forward to Capones & Hollies story. Im not an editor but id love to edit this book for free! I love the story that much.
Erin you have hit it out of the park... what a great start to a new series. I was drawn in from the very beginning and couldn't put this book down. I'm so happy for Satan and Raine. I hope and pray Hollis and Capone find there happily ever after together. What a ride and I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.
I’ve never read Erins books before but let me say I will definitely be following her. This book was one of the best reads I’ve had the pleasure in reading in a long time. Thank you Erin for making me laugh, cry, smile and feel the pain the characters went through. XOXOXO
I have read most of Erin's books, and love them. But in this one I found words missing and contradictions. Example of one is she throws him a 33rd bday party then later in the book she says he is 35. Please have someone else do the editing. Otherwise I'm on to the next book.
Branching out and doing another ND was a great choice. I loved the push and pull between Raine and Satan. The heartbreak and self healing. To build yourself up from the bottom takes guts. And Raine has it. I can't. Wait for Capone's story.
This book is the start of a new series that I know is gona be so good!!! Satan and Raine have an Insta-love and when they fall its amazing. This book had me cracking up to feeling all the feels can't wait til the next book!
So loved this story. The characters and their story line were amazing, can't wait for the next one. Two sisters that when thru so much in a short period of time and come out stronger in the end. A must read.
Read it, liked some of the characters but the whole tale is almost innocent. Yes there is the hot biker sex and the accompanying language but it didn't gel for me. Too neat, too tidy and missing that rev of the engine. Sorry.
I will never dissuade a beginning writer to stop. I will encourage anyone who wants to write to become skilled in the English language and grammar. Learn the basics before you publish. If your friends love your story telling, you're on to something. Now, take it to a PROFESSIONAL reviewer, editor, or writer. Swallow the critical feedback and learn from it. Amature reviews, edits, and feedback are just that - amature. Good luck on your growth as a writer.
What an amazing story, and f**k if Raine didn't blow my mind away as an Ol'lady. She's one heck of an OL. And Satan ,gosh what a man. This series is gonna be epic, cant wait
