'Fluent narration' thy name is Preethi Venugopala. I didn't realise the story was over so soon. Toe curling from the word go till the very end. Would have loved it to be longer.
Though Kishore and Shreya are already introduced with The Sunshine Girl, its heart warming to know their story. Like always Preethi Venugopala has nailed it down with beautiful naration and wonderful discription of events and emotions. Couldn't stop reading the book before 'The End' :) Loved it.
A delightful story of love by Preethi Venugopala that shows how Cupid brings together two people that didn't care very much for each other when they were young and ended up in a happy ever after. A lovely read
Kishore, a sturdy, handsome and compassionate guy, is back from UAE, on leave for 3 months. Meanwhile his mother tries very badly to get him married lest it would be another year. She seeks her mother's help, Arundathi, who is also a famous author and loving grandma of Kishore. But Kishore doesn't want to marry in a jiffy. He encounters Shreya, his junior coincidentally, because of which his past resurfaces. One incident with her in the past transforms him wholly. Why did she impact him now?
Shreya is a fashion designer. A beautiful girl and a obedient daughter. She has different notions when coming to marriage. But all of her dreams come crashing with one minute yet grave mistake of hers. What is the cause of her mistake?
This is a short and quick love story but very much engaging. I particularly loved Arundathi's character, who enriches endearment. Even though it's filmy at few instances, what I liked is plain sailing narration that fills the readers with enthusiasm. If you are on reading slump, go for it, it's refreshingly stimulating.
Hello everyone. Another book for the day is The Girl at the wedding. I have read lot of love story books but this book is really an interesting love story of Kishore and Shreya. This novel depicts the tale of a man who desires to take full advantage of his single status. He steers clear of all family discussions regarding his impending marriage. And after a single occurrence, everything for him changed, and he is now prepared to end his single existence. But his choice could have a huge impact on the lives of many people in his immediate vicinity. The story is set in Puvattur, in 2007. Lena's wedding ceremony is a match making for Shreya also. I really loved the way author has presented and revolved the story. The story of love, heartbreak and reunion. Language used is lucid and writing style is best part as it was easy to read and connect. Overall an amazing book to read and enjoy. At the end you will be happy. So just go for it. Purchase link is in the story.
Who doesn't love a good enemy to lover romance? I surely do. And there are many many books offering such premises that nowadays if the writting is not mindblowing or there are twists and gut wrenching emotions at every corner in the plot, the book falls short of making a rather distinct impression.
I liked Shreya's character and its contrast to our main lead. But in a way she comes across not so different from any other romantic female lead. She has nothing else to offer.
The story flows swiftly and there are few moments that i really enjoyed. And overall i enjoy these kind of fun to go stories when i can not pick up a strong plotted, and heavily worded books.
The writting is very easy to understand and not at all formal. The book was a break time read. If you like this trope you would definitely enjoy this.
The book is about a man who wants to relish his bachelor life and dodges questions when he's asked about being with a girl by what transpires which turned his life upside down?
This is a short and expeditious love story but very much engaging. The simple story is set in Kerala and is elaborated beauteously. The characters emanate from the precedent book, The Sunshine Girl. They are well developed and the author has described the feelings of both of them. I doted Vishal's, Kishore's brother, and have profoundly relished his profound appreciation story too.Shreya and Kishore share an astonishing chemistry in this pulchritudinous story.
This is a short and expeditious love story but very much engaging. The language is quite lucid and the narration is simple. I recommend this book!!
Recommended to readers who are new to this genre as well as reading .
Some books keep you mesmerized with that idea of love which isn't perfect but real and somewhere or other clicks that relatable button same happens here .
Also it isn't shown as a shiny bed of roses , I liked that they dealt with past and showcased it , it wasn't just pushed under rugs because that is what doesn't happens in reality we have to deal with it till the very end .
The only thing that disappointed me was lack of freshness , with a market that is already filled with a lot of same stories and storylines the excitement of reading something similar goes a little down other wise a grear attempt at story line

Set in the backdrop of my native land of Kerala, this book is a fresh breath and a pinch of nostalgia. Kishore is at home for his 3-month break from work when his mother and cupid grandma is all up to get him to tie the knot. Little did he know that his heart which craved the freedom of bachelorhood betrayed him and fell for his school-time sweetheart Shreya, with whom he have a not-so-pleasant past.
With the premise of mutual friends getting married, a cousin as a rival and top it off places like Kannur, Kasaragod, and Munnar, this one takes its place in my heart. Fast-paced, no-nonsense, and above all a feel-good book.
The simple story is set in Kerala with a beautiful narration. The characters are familiar, from the previous book, The Sunshine Girl. They are well developed and the author has described the feelings of both of them. I loved Vishal, Kishore’s brother, and have loved his love story too. The language is simple and the story has been narrated beautifully.
A short and sweet romance like many written about earlier. Nothing unexpected or surprising but a satisfactory pass time. Looking for a quick read, go for it.
