Simple beginners book. I enjoyed the story of pirates searching for treasure smith the aid of the local older lady. I REALLY enjoyed the scenes of her in the hammock reading to the kids of real adventures “giants/shipwrecks/poisonous snakes”. Seems like a standard treasure hunt story then suddenly it’s go read meaning and purpose!
My copy of the book was poorly made and pages literally fell ott it while reading it. Also, the artwork was subdued to the point you needed to squint to see the art.

However…the laundry chute!!!

Wonderful book for children who are old enough to understand, but not yet reading, or just beginning to read. Fun-filled back yard adventure story with a good message, teaching a little bit of Scripture and more importantly, the treasure of God's Word. Wonderful ... from one of the best authors ever!
