Alexa Bentley is a globe-trotting ghost therapist who solves mysteries of a paranormal nature. Her latest case is highly unusual; instead of helping a human who wants a ghost to move on, she's received a spectral plea to help stop the ghosts of New Orleans from becoming "Lost in Louisiana." Alexa must fully immerse herself in the area's colorful history of voodoo, haunted buildings, and witchcraft if she's going to have any chance of succeeding. Many of the people she encounters offer their assistance, and one New Orleans resident is even a big fan of Alexa's work. But can she truly trust anyone when all their lives may be on the line?

Lost in Louisiana is the third book in the Alexa Bentley Paranormal Mysteries Series. Each book tells a complete story and can stand alone, although there is also some continuity throughout the series. Alexa Bentley is a witty, mystery-solving ghost therapist.

The ghost prison

A light, easy read that moves along at a brisk pace and with a surprising twist at the end. Love the characters - shame that our heroine is again on her own.
When she get a tape with ghosts asking for help, she heads off to New Orleans. Her visit to the address on the package is fruitless but an approach by a handsome man on the street soon gives her the news she is searching for. He had run a paranormal investigation agency but his lease was pulled by the landlord. Why are the ghosts missing? Why is it only one medium that can get through? A cemetery, the most impressive voodoo queen of all time, a greedy landlord, firefly magic and more are all woven into a tale that has emotion, romance and the underdog winning out in the end. A delightful read.
