TimeFall Crosses the line from Science Fiction to Fantasy and back again. It starts with witches, and I think of that as dark fantasy. But these witches aren't your ordinary garden variety witches - they know how to time travel and that, to me, is science fiction. And they have witchly powers, so we're back to fantasy. But their powers were granted them by aliens, and that's science fiction.

Regardless what shelf we want to place it on, this book is a fresh look at a viable explanation for how witches (at least this particular type of witch) got their unearthly powers.

And, new twists or not, the classic standards of good vs. evil still prevail. Yes, TimeFall has black witches, utterly evil as they come, intent on nothing less than dominating the people of at least this one world, and (Jaclyn Belmay promises) in future novels maybe more.
