Blip: Humanity's 300 year self-terminating experiment with industrialism

What we do to enable our existence simultaneously undermines our existence...

Our enormous and ever-increasing utilization of NNRs (nonrenewable natural resources) - the finite and non-replenishing fossil fuels, metals, and nonmetallic minerals that enable our industrial existence - is causing

· Increasingly pervasive global NNR scarcity, which is causing
· Faltering global human prosperity, which is causing
· Increasing global political instability, economic fragility, and societal unrest.

This scenario will intensify during the coming decades and culminate in humanity's permanent global societal collapse, almost certainly by the year 2050.

Sound inconceivable? Read Blip, then decide...

Chris Clugston synthesizes the quantitative and qualitative evidence produced by hundreds of scientists, scholars, researchers, and analysts in the various physical sciences and behavioral sciences that address the origins and evolution of industrial humanity and human industrialism.

These experts produced the "dots", which Clugston connects clearly and comprehensibly in Blip .

We will soon discover that humanity's self-terminating experiment with industrialism represents a mere 300 year "blip" along the three million year timeline of human existence.

Since 2005, Chris Clugston has conducted extensive research into human “sustainability”, with a focus on NNR (nonrenewable natural resource) scarcity. NNRs are the fossil fuels, metals, and nonmetallic minerals that enable our industrial existence.

His goal has been to articulate and quantify the causes, implications, and con¬sequences associated with industrial humanity’s “predicament” – our self-inflicted, self-terminating human/Earth relationship.

Clugston’s first book, "Scarcity – Humanity’s Final Chapter?", examines industrial humanity’s enormous and ever-increasing NNR utilization and its inevitable consequence, increasingly pervasive global NNR scarcity.

His latest book, "Blip – Humanity’s 300 year self-terminating experiment with industrialism", explores increasingly pervasive global NNR scarcity and its inevitable consequence, the imminent and permanent collapse of human industrialism and industrial humanity.

I have read "Blip" and the author's previous book "Scarcity" and found both of them a work of genius. Blip is a must read for every intelligent person on the planet. Clugston's research is over whelming and proves his point that our civilization will collapse in the very near future due to the exhaustion of non-renewable resources. The book is very easy read and the author takes time to guide the reader to his conclusion. Jason G Brent jbrent6179@aol.com

Extremely analytical take on why global capital industrial civilization will ultimately be a blip in human history. Lots of great charts, projections, breakdowns, tables, and terms in this book. The author largely leaves it up to the reader to insert any emotion into the passages - and that will come with no hesitation.
