Mr. Lucky: My Unexpected Journey to Success
How would you describe losing your house to a fire? Being held up at gunpoint? Falling off the roof face-first? You probably wouldn't choose the word lucky. But Mr. Lucky does―and after reading about his life experiences both challenging and rewarding, you will too. Whether you're just starting your career, launching your own business, or seeking greater satisfaction in your everyday life, Mr. Lucky: My Unexpected Journey to Success presents a perspective that will help you become more prosperous and feel more joyful. Mitchell Epstein demonstrates that you don't have to be the smartest person in the room to succeed in the business world. His unique viewpoint enabled him to take "the stupidest idea" one co-worker had ever heard and build the foundation for a business that was so successful it allowed him to retire at age 47.

Mr. Epstein writes a very clear straightforward, inspirational and brutally honest memoir of what it took to be successful and lucky in his life. He shares very personal stories that anyone could relate to - to show how a positive attitude with a lot of grit and determination can have positive results. Each chapter explains a relevant stepping stone of how he was able to run a business and retire early.
I like how he breaks the lessons into simple advice nuggets at the end of each chapter too.
Lucky for all of us, he is using his money and talents to lift up others.
Enjoyed the book very much.

I’d like to begin with what would normally be my concluding statement: This book should be required reading for *all* as its benefits will surely touch an inordinately wide swath of individuals.
Mitchell Epstein tells his story with compassion, grace, and humility. As such, to me, this book defies classification. General self-help? Autobiography? Business advice? Interpersonal relationships? Quite simply, it’s all of the above.
Mitchell’s writing style places each reader in a one-on-one conversation with him; that’s how it felt to me. His prose is easy to understand, full of real-life examples of success and failure, and it dispenses an innumerable amount of practical, applicable pieces of advice.
Easily one of the best all-around books I have read. Congratulations, Mitchell, on your success, on a life well-lived, and for sharing your invaluable wisdom and experience(s) with everyone!

There is always that fear when the book is written by someone you know that you won't like the book, and you won't know what to say if they ask. Well, I started it this morning and couldn't put it down! What a great read! Very raw, very honest and insightful. A lot of great little life lessons learned along the way. It has to be difficult to speak so honestly about the personal and professional experiences he shared. It was cool reading about names and people I was familiar with, and hearing how each of them impacted the author's life. Very enjoyable read. I already knew Mitchell was a great guy, but now I love him even more!!! We should all take the time to reflect on our life experiences as honestly as he has done, and use it as an opportunity for growth and self improvement. It inspires me to be kind, try some Kundalini yoga (maybe...we'll see!) and to be thoughtful and reflective with ALL my interactions. Great job, Mitchell!!! I really loved it!!!!

Mr. Lucky reminds me that life's lessons seem simple but the truth is they are not easy. Like: Believe in yourself. Be open to all ideas. Look at things from multiple perspectives. Find work you enjoy and feel is meaningful. Learn to bite your tongue (and 135 more!) All seem so simple when written, but they are not easy to do. Mitchell Epstein is brave to share his life's story and lessons. So many of the things he shared are close to happenings in my life's journey. I believe everyone that reads it will have a similar reaction. Mr. Lucky's story is all of OUR stories with different characters and circumstances! Do yourself a favor and get a copy today - as a reminder or a conversation starter with someone that you love! Mr. Lucky is making the world a better place. Let's help him!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Mr. Lucky, and once I started, couldn't put it down. I am so impressed with Mitchell Epstein's positive attitude and enthusiasm for life, as well as his empathy and compassion for helping others! Quoting Thomas Edison, Mitchell affirmed his own philosophy for success was, "hard work, stick-to-itiveness, and common sense". Mitchell's endearing attitude certainly impacted his life and is evident throughout the book. A definite must read and inspiration for us all!

I have known Mitchell for over 20 years and no matter what was happening with (and around him), he has always been the clear-headed visionary. This book reminded me of so much, but mostly it made me feel honored to be a member of his tribe and to have been counseled by him during several of my personal and professional turning points. Just like his taste in music, this book is spot on!
