One little girl realises that the new girl in her class is struggling to make friends. With the help of their football coach they come up with a plan. Can their school football team bring them together, and expand their friendship group?
The message - don't bully kids or be racist or exclude someone just because they're new or "different" would be great. But the 12 days of kindness is apparently the responsibility of the bullied and ostracised black kid to make the other girls at school treat her with a modicum of decency.
Cute story about how being kind can help- was a useful book to discuss with my kids on how to be kind or things they could improve on to show kindness etc
3 1/2 stars. In this picture book, a new girl struggles to make friends at school and on the soccer team until another girl befriends her. They think of ways the team can show kindness to each other. Cute, and a feel-good story.
