Care for Caring Parents is a group support program for parents who care for a child with a disability.This program recognises that parents of a child with special needs experience considerable demands, such as: Recurring grief throughout the development of their child Above-ordinary pressures Life-long care of the child The main aim of Care for Caring Parents is to build support for these parents, both in terms of inner coping resources and of outer support networks and services. A group can provide a place for the safe expression of feelings, provision of emotional support, and development of additional insight into the parents' situation.
