Dive into the Riveting Sequel of the Shieldmaiden's Tales Rule of the Shieldmaiden!
The saga continues where Thora Sveinsdottir faces an unparalleled challenge that will test her strength and convictions. As the weight of her responsibilities to protect her people clashes with her unrelenting pursuit of vengeance, Thora grapples with the delicate balance between duty and personal vendettas.
The tumultuous love story with Galinn Ketilsson takes an unexpected turn when his guilt and looming consequences force him to leave for Dublin. Thora, now alone, must navigate her newfound role, torn between her love for Galinn and the duty she owes to her people.
In this enthralling sequel, Thora finds herself at a crossroads, caught between sacrifice, loyalty, and the inevitable clash between love and duty, all while facing a daunting choice—reveal Galinn's secret, risking the support of her people, or resign herself to a life without him.
As vengeance consumes her, Thora takes up arms against the formidable High King of Ireland, setting the stage for a gripping showdown. Every decision carries profound consequences, and one wrong move threatens to unravel everything Thora has fought for.
Jaime Loughran is a writer, organ donor, and animal rescuer. An older friend gave 14-year-old Jaime her first romance novel and set her on the path that led to writing her own contemporary and historical romances. Born and raised in New Jersey, she calls the gorgeous rolling hills of the south central region of Kentucky home. Of course, living near the Horse Capital of the World wouldn’t be complete without horses, and Jaime is owned by (and servant to) a small herd of Arabians. And Thor, the Appaloosa, who thinks he’s an Arabian. Shhhh…don’t ruin it for him.
Jaime enjoys quilting, painting, and baking. Jaime and her teenage son also enjoy their work as "chicken tenders". (No, not the food kind. :) ) Together they raise Brahma chickens. She is obsessed with comfy pajamas, t-shirts, Supernatural, and reading.
The second book in this series focuses on Thora and Galinn's relationship, the struggles they face and what it will take for them to find peace and be together. You see how they both deal with these challenges in their own way. A worthy sequel to the first book and an incredible set up for the third and final book. I highly recommend this read.
