You Had Him, I Bagged Him
Stronger in numbers, the Stone family has always been. Early on CaBrea, and her brother, LaKev, got a dose of what it was like to struggle. They went from a home in the suburbs to the projects, behind their stepfather’s illegal activities. As a result, he went off to prison, leaving their mother to pick up the pieces of their life. Never one to complain, they accepted their new circumstances and learned to adapt. LaKev and CaBrea both, had to fight along the way, being they were newcomers to the neighborhood. However, they adapted. That was made easier with their mother in their corner, every step of the way.
Fast forward seven years, and their stepfather is released from prison and back home. They return to being one big happy family. Or so they thought. One thing is unknown—Daddy is keeping a secret. One that LaKev soon finds out about. It costs him and his family everything, sending everybody’s life spiraling in opposite directions.

Whew
Now you know you didn’t even have to do us like that. That ending was to intense for me. I think Cabrea will be will be good for Denih. I think it’s going to be tough and he’s going to take her through it first. Before he realizes it. I know ole boy covered everything up with those videos.

Okay, this story was taking so long to get started that I had to force myself to continue, but I am so glad that I did! Gotta get part two right now!

I should have waited...
This was one of those Reads that take time too get JUICY! but baaaabee.. when it DO ! It get litt then a MF! I seen this in a book group. But figured it already been out...😒 now ,because I didn't read lol I'm stuck waiting on Part 2! At first i didn't like Dinah lol but he growing on me now! I can already tell he falling for his virgin boo😂 and poor le'kev ,. I just dont understand WHY he didn't tell his sister the "REST" I hate when characters in books do that smh and his sister was wrong for turning her back on him . Like he said ,the mother would have acted in the same way!
Plz hurry with part 2 I'm more interested too see what will happen between Dinah and her relationship!

I think the story moved well. It opened strong and pulled me at the beginning lost me in the middle and pulled me in at the end. I was also confused as to when the dad came home. The most interesting storyline was relegated to the back burner and didn't make an appearance until the ending, a cliffhanger. The positive is that it set the sequel up to be intense and entertaining. I unfortunately could not connect with the Cabrea and Denih storyline. They didn't have any chemistry. Again, there ending could turn into something interesting in the sequel. Provided the characters are developed and the author uses the the potential drama in a way that will keep you on your toes, the sequel will be a good addition to her collection.

Wow!!! This book was really good. Some of the content you need to brace yourself for but it creates a good storyline. Poor LeKev his story is so tragic and I hope he gets a happy ending. Then Brea 🤦🏾♀️. Lord she’s opening herself up for a world full of bs and she better not get mad because Dinih has already showed her who he is. Part 2 me ASAP because I know the drama is just beginning.

The Emotional Rollercoaster
Just wow. The different emotions experienced just within the first few chapters.... This was a different kind of read but it was one that hit a real life situation that people tend to shy away from. My heart hurts for the Lakevs in the world. I was caught up from the beginning to the end. That cliffhanger definitely has my attention and anticipating part 2. Dymond Taylor is so dope in the art of storytelling.

ond book I've read by this author that mentions sexual assault and homosexuality. I'm not sure how I feel about it at this point.
Cabrea, Cabrea..... please explain why African American authors write stories about African American women in this light?? There is NOTHING attractive about Denih or his personality so why would Cabrea be fascinated with a man that has disrespected her from the time she met him?

Good read
This was my first time reading this author and I must say I was impressed. The storyline wasn't predictable and it kept you wanting more. I hope that everything works out for Brea and LaKev cause they really need each other. And I hope the truth comes out. I can't wait for part two

Amazing
I have never read this author before but definitely one of my new favs. This book had drama and humor. I feel bad for Lakev. But I did not see that ending. Cabrea is a bra. Should've had her twins back. I don't know what she was thinking. Denih is a asshole. Periodt. But everyone going to get what's coming to them. Need part 2 asasp

Just my opinion.
If I could give this a zero I would. What the heck did I just read. I seriously wasted a whole 2 and a half hours. Will not be reading part 2. This was not it. The sister was so easily willing to let her brother go without letting him to explain. I really felt bad for him. Please STOP AT BOOK 2.

Speechless!!🤐
I didn’t think I was going to make it through after what happened to LaKev, but I pushed on through. Cabria, loved how feisty she is, but will she be able to take ALL that comes with Denih???? Who knew that paths will cross again that way... I hope he doesn’t make the same mistake twice. Can’t wait on book 2!

GOOD BOOK!!!!
This is my first read by this author but definitely not my last one. I enjoyed reading this book. I love it from beginning to end. I’m glad Cyrus got what he deserved. I would love to see Denih change and be with CaBrea. I was not expecting that ending at all. I can’t wait to read part 2...great job Dymond...

Imma keep it real when I first read a couple of first pages I wanted to throw that s*** down don't want to read no more but I push myself to read the whole book and as always she's never fails with writing a marvelous and fantastic book I will recommend you to get this book I'm going to report to Sunday to see how everything played out.

Great Read
LaKev went through a very traumatic experience. That experience caused him to lose out on a lot of things in life. Brea suffered as well, but she was wrong to blame her brother. I hope Kev's past doesn't cost him his future. I hope being with Brea will help change Denih and his ways. Can't wait to read part two!

OmG my heart ached for Lakes so much for what halt to him. I have he kept it all bottled in because it caused a domino effect to everyone he loved. I was mad at his sister though because as his twin she should have knew it was more to it. That cliffhanger of an ending whew!!

This book is crazy. The things that transpired are crazy. I felt so bad for Lakev. He didn’t deserve what happened and then to have the ones he loved turn on him only made things crazier. I can’t wait to see what happens in book two.

That ending !!!! A must read for anyone reading this review . I don’t want to tell the story but you won’t be disappointed. Hopefully Cabrera and LaKev make it out of their situations and have a better life . Headed to part two right now !!!
