I do NOT consider these as stand-alone reads, as there are reoccurring characters and overarching themes. I highly recommend these be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers.
Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, and some light restraints, and violence such as fighting, assault, drugs, death, etc.
I am trying to mention grammatical issues for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read. This story contains multiple issues including transposed words, misspellings, typos, as well as missing and extra inserted words.
This story is about Sia, the cousin of the Doyle brothers and niece to their Uncle Danny. She was really close to Danny’s son that died. She suffered a lot of trauma between Danny’s loss and the treatment of her parents.
Sia’s parents are ones that shouldn’t have had children and unfortunately that meant that she was treated like a third wheel, often forgotten and shown she wasn’t wanted. The real bright spots were her Uncle Murphy and her cousins. Now she wants to do something for everyone. Sia started party planning years ago and has decided that since their Uncle Danny was doing somewhat better that maybe they could have a family celebration and invite some locals to help showcase the new Inn.
Vinny has lived on Martha’s Vineyard about 10 years or so. He is a loner and has no living family that he knows of or claims, especially after coming through the foster system. He joined the Coast Guard because he liked the water and that is where he met Kieran. After getting out he moved onto a small house on Kieran’s Uncle’s property and opened a Fish and Chips hut. The nice part is he can set his own hours, open and close when he wants.
Sia is so excited about the prospect of hosting a party for her family, that she is looking for alternative transport to theIsland when the ferries are shut down due to weather. A local fisherman overhears and offers to let her go with him if she wants. Sia readily accepts and everything is going fine until they are pretty close to the Island and the boat takes on a couple of high waves. Suddenly the bilge pumps can’t keep up and the boat starts listing to one side. The Captain calls out a Mayday!
Vinny Is woke up my Danny to go and help with a boat that called a Mayday since they were closer than the Coast Guard. He joined a couple of others and they were able to rescue Oscar and a female passenger that saved his life as she refused to let go of his collar after Oscar was knocked unconscious. Since they weren’t aware there was another person on the boat, they only had one ambulance waiting, so Vinny took her to Danny’s home to start getting her warm.
Imagine his surprise when he was attracted to her, which hadn’t happened for him in quite a while, and Danny recognized her … she was his niece!
