Pandora’s Box has been opened. The Pantheon of Emerilia has gone through tremendous changes the event of Myths and Legends suppressed.
Warships now move in the stars, made of soul gem constructs, built by mages and engineers, crewed by those that lived on Emerilia or within Earth’s Simulation.
The Deq’ual system stands with Emerilia, their brothers and sisters, their family and fellow human descendants.
The Jukal Empire will not let Emerilia rise peacefully. As Empires grow, so too can they be toppled. Only one can remain, in their biggest gamble yet, they must pass through the fires of war, Empire against Empire.
Michael Chatfield is a Canadian Army veteran and international bestselling author who writes the kind of books he always wanted to read—character-driven, gritty, tactical, and grounded in reality.
He doesn’t write one-dimensional killers wrapped in plot armor, charging toward an objective without thought. His stories are built for readers who want earned progression, tight, understandable logic, and realistic strategy. Every stat system has structure. Every decision is deliberate (except when there is Jaeger involved).
And the pacing? It's locked at two hundred percent. From alleyway brawls to starship armadas clashing over galactic sovereignty, from tactical dungeon assaults to city-states warring over a continent’s fate—Chatfield commits to every battle like it’s his last.
With millions of books and audiobooks sold, and tens of thousands of reviews his work spans LitRPG, military sci-fi, fantasy, and post-apocalyptic survival. He writes for readers who value systems that make sense, loyalty that lasts, and power that’s earned, not handed out.
Whether you're listening on a long drive, grinding through a shift, or up past midnight planning the next in-game raid—this is where you’ll find sagas to binge. Where strength is earned, logic rules, and camaraderie is forged in fire.

Many people criticize the writing in books that go viral on TikTok. One such book, that I've actually read, is Fourth Wing. Sure, Fourth Wings has its flaws and faux pas but the Emerilia series is truly badly written. This series shows that even books that intellectuals would deem "badly written" have plenty that they pull off well. None of these positive nuggets are available here. And yet, my ratings haven't been bad. That's due to the story.
There's a genuinely enjoyable story being told here and I had a good time with it. I had to purposefully look away from the myriad issues and question my commitment to the series every step of the way. I wanted to know where things were headed. The series could've been much shorter, better researched, better executed (heck, even I wanna re-do it and I ain't no writer lol) but the story is rich despite all the issues.
I enjoyed this book and series but there were problems with it. Book 11 was a slog to finish and it wasn’t because I didn’t want the story to end. I also throughout the whole series had a problem with the timeline of Emerilia as I felt it was to short, elves live long lives so 500 years is not long to have History for them. But still I did enjoy the action and the characters.
Thank you so much for this series. I thoroughly enjoyed it; the characters, the setting, the impossible challenges faced with grit, determination and an infallible belief that they would succeed against all the odds. The journey was ace - I suspect Steve would have a good comment here if he was any good at golf :)
I throughly enjoyed this series. The characters were fun and engaging. The pacing was pretty good with lots of progression and rich details without getting bogged down.
Thanks to Michael for a great series. I fell into Emerilia and never came back up. Excellent characters, fantastic universe and plot line to die for. This is a series I will reread often I look forward to many more books from this author.
I read the whole series I'm not a gamer per se but the books were amazing the characters well developed and captivating. I look forward to reading more of this author.
