In my Bible studies over the years, I began to see many similarities between life around me and across the globe with what is written in the Bible, especially as it pertains to a prophecy. In my opinion, the Bible from Genesis through Revelation is a prophecy. The very soon return, I hope and pray, of our Lord and savior. Daniel was blessed with receiving amazing visions and dreams from God about the history of man--past, present, and future. I also tried to work in other pertinent scriptures from other books as well. I have been accused by some that I'm writing about doom and gloom, but those remarks come from those who are not believers. I pray for them.
In my opinion, Daniel is one of the most inspirational books of the Old Testament and Daniel is an amazing example of faith and trust in God. While the concept of this book is fantastic, the execution is horrendous. From the portion I read, the connection between the Biblical book and the today’s world was weak and seemed to be an afterthought.
The writing style is very much a stream of consciousness, with clearly no editing done on this book prior to publication. There are significant grammar issues with the entirety of this writing, which detracted from the content during my reading experience. There are also several instances of overesplanaiion of simple concepts, which comes across as condescending to the reader. I would have normally read a book of this length in one sitting, but found myself putting it down after each chapter before finally giving up in the middle of the third chapter.
I received an ebook of this title from Netgalley, all opinions are my own.
I enjoyed this book but felt that Bobby was rushing in the final 2 or 3 chapters as the writing was less understandable. This is a good light introduction to the book of Daniel. I was given this book by Netgalley and the publisher. This is my voluntary and impartial review.
I enjoyed this book.. It presented the bible and it's teachings in a very different light. I would be willing to recommend this book to anyone as a book to have in their library.
