Life is hard, especially in death. When two angels from opposing sides arrive to collect Aaron's soul, the bickering begins. With their focus on each other, the soul in question gets up and walks away, leading them on a chase that lands them in a lost realm, one in which no angel has dared to tread. Now they must put aside their differences in order to survive long enough to escape a world with no entry and no exit. A realm where Aaron's soul may be the only key to survival.Grab a copy today to find out who escapes!
Renee Gauthier lives in Toronto, Canada. After returning to school, she graduated from the Film & Television program at Humber College in the spring of 2015.
During her years in this program she had the privilege of working on several short films and many commercials with her fellow students making up the crews. She had the pleasure of directing half of these projects and leading her crew to success. She has also taken on many other roles in including Production Manager, Assistant Director and Editor, and enjoys every aspect of the filmmaking process.
She is an author and when she started writing her novel, she had no idea that she would end up at this point… with one book finished and another underway.
Renee won 2nd place in the ‘League for Innovation Student Literary Contest’ for her One Act Play called ‘One Moment’.
They pack this book full of questions, but finding out the answers will come later. A story filled with Magic, Good vs. Evil as an angel from both sides wants to take this man well his soul that is. But the man in question doesn't seem to be finished with it himself. The read is fast passed and every interesting to say the least. Can't wait to see what happens next.
A Whole Lotta Soul! Having read the prequel, ‘The Great Escape,’ I willingly entered the Realm of Lost Souls to find out what befell Aaron after he made a life-altering decision. So glad I did!
Where Aaron landed: Nevaeh, a heavenly angel; Fallen, the dark, handsome, Hell’s angel—can’t answer the million dollar question Aaron posed to them. “Am I dead?”
Besides the author’s unique storyline, the dialogue between all three characters is convincing and edgy.
With a doomed romance between Nevaeh and Fallen not likely to materialize in any realm, and a mission to reclaim Aaron’s soul after he takes off, I look forward to picking up this story with a whole lotta soul in Book 2, ‘The Realm of Betrayal’.
Two angels of opposing sides are dispatched to collect Aaron’s soul. Confusion ensues for everyone about what to do about it. This was a short read with plenty of intrigue. In true RM Gauthier fashion the story seems to create more questions than it answers. Completely entertaining dialogue and I can’t wait to see where the author is taking us next! A fun fantasy that will leave you wanting more.
I like that this story isn't just a 'good vs evil' type story. It gives the characters some 'body' and almost makes them human. A fast, fun read! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
The story is intriguing I must say. Both heaven and hell want an individual but when they both try to take him they find out he’s not dead. Why do both sides want him? Who is he? The book doesn’t really say but it leaves a good cliffhanger for book 2!
It is an interesting take on us humans as we seem to juggle ourselves between good and evil and find we possess some of both. I look forward to the next book that will answer some questions that are raised here. I want to know just who or what Aaron is and what roll he plays in this new series! Stay tuned....
Gauthier pens a good story in The Realm of Lost Souls, which follows (book 0) The Great Escape. The reader now can see where Aaron is, after his life (or soul) altering decision. It's a new realm, and not only filled with angels, heaven and hell, but also an intriguing read. It's one of those fantasy books that keeps the reader turning the pages, and also a great entertaining story filled with both humor and drama. The story brings in the believable, even if almost impossible. This book deserves a second read! (and maybe more). A very well-written story, and I enjoyed it. I like the author's take on what is beyond realism, and the creative realms and view of heaven and hell. It's a great story to follow and try to figure out what will happen next. This author's characters develop and interacts well with the other characters. I have fast become a big fan of Gauthier. I look forward to reading more by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
It seems that even in the realms of heaven and hell, not everything is as straightforward as one might imagine.
This novella length introduction to Gauthier’s Angels and Magic series is an entertaining read, written with good humour, an air of mystery and a very enjoyable degree of snark.
This is a fun story that definitely whets the reader’s appetite for the rest of the series.
An interesting angel/devil love story. However, the main story is simply left incomplete. Overall, this seems like the introduction to a story rather than a complete story.
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
