I would have also liked to have seen Cincinnati Zoo, COSI and other fun kids things to do mentioned. However overall good content for the age range of 2nd to 4th grade.

I'm sort of on the fence about this book -- it's about Ohio's History and while the book does do a good job of providing up-to-date info. (including populations from the 2010 census), the same cannot be said of all of the photos and when you're talking Children's books, the photos have to be very attractive, colorful and recent?
The pictures of places such as farms, the Rock Hall, Cincinnati, Columbus, Hocking Hills, etc. are BEAUTIFUL! But, the pictures of people, while historical in detail look like they were taken 30-50 years ago. Couldn't the publishers find some more recent astronauts and sports figures to include in the book or at least some more recent pictures?
I will give you Neil Armstrong. He was very important to our space program, but how about someone more recent in history?
