Interesting Way to Learn Spanish
This book breaks down learning Spanish grammar into small chunks so you can practice in a short amount of time every day for 45 days. Each day, you will learn some new point of grammar as well as some new vocabulary. I do think this is a good process for the busy adult learner. One might want to learn a foreign language, say, because they're planning a trip. With enough lead time, you could learn enough basics to get by. My only complaint about this book is that there is no proper pronunciation guide in it. I think every beginning foreign language book needs to start off with a pronunciation guide. As our eyes pass over words when we are reading, we tend to subvocalize. So it would be good to know how to subvocalize correctly in a foreign language like Spanish! The subtitle of this book stated that this was a “proven” way to learn, but I didn't see anywhere that the author discussed anything about the proof for this method. All in all, though, I thought this was a decent book on learning the basics of Spanish.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
