I usually wait to post my reviews on Tuesday or Thursday, but I enjoyed this book so much that I couldn’t wait! I like reviewing children’s picture books because I babysit two little girls who are two and three years old.

This book was very well written. The pictures were very cute! Rosalinda Kightley, the illustrator, did a wonderful job! And, I just realized that Amy Parker also wrote Night, Night Farm. I reviewed that picture book a while ago and really enjoyed it! The two girls who I babysit also love Night, Night Farm.

Because it is a children’s book and meant for little kids, it is fine quality for children who still drool and “try” to rip things.

My favorite quote was “Thank You, God, for Grandpas, For Pops and Papas too, For Granddads, Gramps, and Grandpappies—They’re great, grand gifts from You!”

The cover is very cute. That is what caught my eye! It immediately sets the tone for the book! I am going to give it five stars!

The entire book was also very good! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Five stars as well! This is a great book for moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, and a good ol’ babysitter (like me)!

What a sweet book--a perfect glance at how important grandpas really are!

This is a heart-warming celebration of the relationship between a grandpa and a grandchild, which is sure to leave young listeners wanting a hug when the book is laid down. The rhymes flow nicely, depicting a different reason why grandpas are so important on each page spread. The reasons reach across the board: from playing to learning to simply spending time together. Especially boys will recognize certain situations. One of the main focuses through-out, however, is the religious tone. Grandpa's also teach about Jesus and how to pray. And this flows across so naturally that it never feels pushed or forced.

Phrases like “Thank you, God, for Grandpa; There’s nothing I can do to make my grandpa love me less – Grandpa, I love you too!” come across as warm and cuddly as a favorite blanket.

The illustrations are simply cute. The jungle setting with the gorillas is sure to catch young eyes and pull them into the green world as they go from trees to rivers and have fun the entire way. The Grandpa is depicted with such loving characteristics that it's hard not to like him.

As to robustness, this board book will take punishment well. It's stable enough to be flipped through time and again, and is sure to handle drool, trips to the car floor and tosses across the room.

I highly recommend this one as a read-aloud, especially for grandpas to their grand kids.

This is an adorable board book I’m going to love reading to my grandchildren. The illustrations are bright, colorful and fun to look at. The message is encouraging and delightful. It shows little monkey’s having fun with their grandpa. They enjoy his hugs, they love to learn from him, play with him and enjoy when he teaches them things he did with their dad. They also enjoy hearing stories about what life was like back then.

They also show how grandpa talks about Jesus and teaches them how to pray. He trusts God with his whole heart. This book helps everyone to be grateful for relationships. The little ones say, “Thank you, God, for Grandpa; There’s nothing I can do to make my grandpa love me less – Grandpa, I love you too!”

This is a beautiful precious story. One that you and your little one will enjoy reading over and over again.

The perfect book to introduce little ones to God and the importance of family. The message will be read in a simple rhyme with adorable images. This board book will make it easy for little fingers to assist in turning the pages while being read to.

Thank You, God, for Grandpa; There's nothing I can do To make my grandpa love me less- Grandpa, I love you too!

Thank You, God, For Grandpa is a soft covered board book written by Amy Parker and illustrated by Rosalinda Kightley. In this book Amy uses a primate to show us how grandpas help to teach their grandchildren how to have fun. This grandpa plays games, goes fishing, plays ball, works in a workshop, catches fireflies, tells stories and makes snacks with his grandchildren before having to take a nap with them. He also tells the little ones about Jesus and shows them how to pray and trust God to lead and guide the way.

This is an adorable little book, just perfect for the toddler/preschooler. With adorable pictures and rhyming poems, it will keep the little ones attention for a long time. The pictures are full of little things to help teach little children about nature as well. The size of this book is the perfect size for little ones to hold. With 20 brightly colored pages, it is the perfect length to read to a young child. The soft cover and hard pages are shiny and durable to help make it last a long time and is easy to clean little finger prints off of. This book is a great book to help teach the littlest children about the adventures they can have with their grandpas.
