Ralph Sears, the eldest of three brothers left home more than thirty years earlier... after discovering he was going to be a father. He wasn't interested or feeling qualified to take on that kind of responsibility. He was struggling with feeling unloved and unaccepted by his father and consumed by personal demons. But once his youngest brothers shows up on his doorstep... unexpected, he knows he has to return to face his son and all the secrets that ran him away.
There’s nothing like a crisis that tends to bring everyone together, no matter the situation! There are a lot of excuses but no real, valid reasons for a father to walk away from his seed, nor a woman to leave a child behind, knowingly, for that matter! There’s that old adage that Blood will Always Be Blood and that’s what happened when they all rallied around Ralph and showed their allegiance and love, and for Raphael, absolution and acceptance! I loved all of the intermingling within the family! Just makes you step back and say, hmmm! 🤔 As usual, another excellent story by Mrs. Angelia Vernon Menchan! You’re doing yourself a misjustice if you haven’t read this series! 🙅🏽♀️ Highly Recommended! 👏🏽👏🏽 Kudos, Angelia! 💜
I'm not sure what I expected from Ralph's return to his family and adult son. In the back of my mind, I hoped Raphael would forgive his father. And subconsciously, I wanted him to reconsider his relationship with Sandra. The bleeding heart in me wanted the parents to be together, or at least cordial. Jacque had other ideas, oh well... Overall, Ralph's return was a win win for all. I hope to see if Sandra has more to say. Bravo AVM!
Ralph return home was not what I expected but I knew reconciliation and healing were bound to occur. Family was so important to the Sears. I hope this is not the last of the Sears. I felt kinda bad for Ralph at first. But he has to endure the consequences of his actions. "Just live and let love."was my favorite quote from the book. It summarizes everybody's life I think. I loved the bonus short story- Sandra's Groove! I can't wait to read more.
Aye 🙌🏾 Ralph Sr. Redemption is definitely a good place to be when you have left your family behind! Ralph it took time but you was given a second chance! The Sears are the bomb.com! Kena is that Goat! No matter what, blood is thicker than water!
