Kane Rhodes and Brian Jones have finally left the services of MI6 and set up a private Close Protection Company called SSG (Subtle Security Group.) They were helped financially by SIS (Secret Intelligence Service - MI6) in return for the odd 'favour.' MI6 were also influencial in introducing them to various visiting dignitaries and minor Heads of State who often used their services. A brief visit from the female owner of a string of massage parlours, requesting their help to find her mother's murderer, started them on a whirlwind event of unplanned travels. Even though they had turned down her request, the former MI6 agents found themselves implicated in a series of car chases, drug dealings, murders and gangland fights. More importantly, they had inexplicably got themselves involved with the Drenicas, the most formidable drug-trafficking group in London. Having managed to secure a short but uneasy truce, the pair needed to find out why the Drenicas wrongly thought they were in the drugs business and were looking to move in on their territory. In securing this brief respite they had offended Zolt, one of Drenica's main enforcers and knew it would only be a matter of time before he had a contract out on them. Their only hope was to get to the main man and convince him that they were who they said they were and get him to call off Zolt. They soon found themselves battling with major drug suppliers and rival Bulgarian Mafia gangs. MI6 had also called in a favour which they also had to try and accomplish. Fast action packed thriller full of twists and turns.
