Ooops, this one was a mistake. It is terribly dated which of course is not the author's fault but that gets the reader off on the wrong track from the beginning. Musicians who basically had little to no influence on the rock scene are lauded and others, who as time went by became icons are barely recognized

But it was the mistakes that kept me rolling my eyes......Roy Orbison was not blind; Ginger Bakers first name was Peter, not Robert; there are extant pictures of blues legend Robert Johnson; Gene Vincent was in the car crash that killed Eddie Cochran and ruined Vincent's life; and the list goes on. Why I kept reading this book until the end puzzles me although it was only 234 pages long. I usually put a book down if it is full of errors but I had some kind of strange fascination about what the author might say next. Or maybe I am a masochist!
