American Government: The Essentials
Acclaimed for its clear writing and the scholarship of its prominent authors, American Government, The Essentials contains the same coverage of institutions and actors as the full-length text, but omits the seven policy chapters. Instead, a unique closing chapter, Politics and Public Policy, offers a succinct overview of policymaking and government reform in regards to the Constitution.

It wasn't this edition, but I have and read the Eighth Edition.
Couldn't sale it for worth, after I passed the class that required it. So I kept it. Rather surprised I still have it.
But its a good book. Very detailed. Does get a tad confusing. But what doesn't, in regard to Government thinking.
