A book should have certain focus. However, this book is very disorganised.
It tries to introduce a lot of different ideas but neither have an in depth exploration. The connection between chapters is also missing.
It is more like reading some random blog posts without telling you a thing.

Also, Rails 7 has evolved a lot. Most of the parts are not quite useful now.

Tried to read it on my kindle but there was too much code to be good readable. He explained every technology in detail but I was not interested in that. It's definitely a good idea to work through it with an example project on your own.

It started well, but got far too complex too quickly. Trying to cover too many bases. Should have focused on a single framework.

Good book to start around with UI build systems for Rails. Has good tips for debugging. Switching to the 2nd edition.

It's got some useful information buried in there but you really have to dig for it because it's very sloppy, unorganized, and confusing.
