Something wicked this way comes…

Witch Jayce Bonheim has spent the last four months waiting for a horde of dark magicians to come to town.

Now, they’ve arrived, embedded in a traveling circus.

And they’re bigger and badder than this ex-party girl could have imagined, wreaking havoc wherever they go.

But when a murder rocks her small town, Jayce must stop the chaos. Walking a tightrope between dark spells and past regrets, can Jayce stop a murderer and stop these magicians from transforming the world forever?

If you’re a fan of Charlaine Harris, Heather Blake, or Amanda M. Lee, don’t miss Fate, book 6 in The Witches of Doyle cozy mystery novels.

This novel is a full-length, witch cozy mystery featuring true-to-life spells in the back of the book, a trio of witchy sisters, and a dash of romance. Though Fate can be read as a standalone, it's best read in series order. It's rated PG-13 due to mild language and some romance.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Great Escapes Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Fate by Kirsten Weiss is an excellent story with mystery and magic set in Doyle, California.
Will the fight against Fate end the way that the Bonheim sisters want?
Jayce Bonheim
Jayce is our main character and our witchy sleuth. She finds herself in the position of saving the town from the magical bad guys. However, she doesn't have to do it alone; her sisters are there to help her if she stops to let them in. It felt like Jayce learned a lot about herself and the people of Doyle.

What I like about Jayce is she tries to protect all of the townspeople. She also wasn't afraid to call her friend out what she thought her friend had done. Braydon and Jayce have a good relationship; it was nice to see them working together. The only thing that bothers me about  Jayce is she doesn't always communicate well. Other than that, she is a great character.
The Mystery
We have a few murders and then the whole mystery of who, why, and what the Black Lodge wants with Doyle. Things are moving fast, and it feels like as soon as Jayce finds a clue, the next issue is surfacing. I liked the way the sisters work together to solve the magical side of the problems.

Also, the author gives us a police blotter at the beginning of each chapter, which keeps us on track of what is going on in the town and made me laugh.
Five Stars
Fate by Kirsten Weiss is a well-crafted story with amazing characters, a lovely setting, and the right amount of intrigue.  I loved it. Therefore I am giving it five stars. I highly recommend this to all cozy paranormal readers.

Remember, if you want to see what the mundanes went through, check out my review of Close Encounters of the Curd Kind. It's the other side of what is happening in Doyle; you know the UFO, aliens, and the same mass hysteria.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

What a fantastic read this was!! We catch up with Jayce as she gets a message about upcoming danger. Being a little vague it sets the sisters on edge I told finally stuff starts happening and mean does it keep coming. Jayce can barely keep up as they try to find the clues, save the town, and themselves all at the same time. Full of an eclectic mix of magical characters giving someone for everyone. I especially enjoyed the addition of the spells which was quite fun to lol at. A must read for fans of magical cozy mysteries. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

This book had me really stressed out. I’m one of those types of people who get so into a book that my whole world is the book. So the people living in Doyle were all in a spurt of trance from a powerful black magic club…or so it was thought by Jayce and her two sisters, Lenore and Karin (they’re triplets).

First, a deputy dies and Jayce is told by one of the local residents that she needs to find out who killed him. Then there’s the magic book at the Sheriff’s Department and is the Sheriff involved in what is going on? What the heck is going on?

A circus is in town and it seems all the weird stuff began right around It’s arrival. Is the circus arrival related to the town being in a trance? Everyone is so quiet and they’ve been seeing aliens and cows disappeared and then another person is killed and then another. It’s pandemonium!

Jayce wants to protect her sisters because she’s had dreams of them dying, so she omits important details of what she is discovering during her investigation into the murders. It’s only when Jayce finally opens up to her sisters that they are able to combine their magic to take down the bad guys.

I’m glad I’m done with this book because it was intense. Hopefully the next book will be lighter for me. Something great is happening with Jayce and Brayden and also with Karin and her husband.

Next book is the 6th - Oak.

I love this series and this entry is no exception , the sisters are some of my favorite in the paranormal world, Kirsten Weiss is a fantastic author, I have said it in reviews before, but an author who can make me laugh out loud or cry, is in my opinion a great one!!
The Bonheim triplets Karin, Jayce and Lenore are Witches, strong apart but stronger together, each brings something unique to the party, this book is from Jayce's point of view, she may give off the strong as nails exterior, the owner of the local coffee shop, but behind the veneer is a passionate woman who loves her sisters fiercely and her boyfriend passionately.
When another murder rocks the town again, with plenty of suspects as a horde of evil has come to town in the visage of a circus (if you want my opinion, and lets face it you do, your reading my review, it has to be clowns, clowns are always evil, they are inherently evil, jist look at them!! EVIL) ok got that off my chest!
This is a great read, it is not in your face obvious there are plenty twists and turns, I highly recommend this book, this series, this author and everything she has written"

Enjoy

Fate in Abundance

An amazing array of events to traverse threw, an abundance of vibrant caracters, and a murder mystery inside a mystery. The talented writers mind to weave such a strong storey of magical witchcraft blending together an all consuming and crafed array of intreage, humor, passion and deceit.Kirsten Weiss draws you into this mystery not letting you know wich caracters is friend or foe, keeping you in suspence from the first few pages to the finally. What I'm trying to put across is that this witchy cozey murder mystery is a must read show stopper, so grab a copy and start enjoying "Fate"🤔😌😯😮🤔🙄😏☺ Kat

This is a cute story full of magic, mystery and mischief. Triplet witch sisters try to keep their town protected from dark magic. Multiple adventures occur along the way. The cover is very cute and this book is part of a series. There are a couple of spells in the book which I think was a cute addition. This was the first one I read but it made me want to read more. Enjoy.

Fate

I like the Witches of Doyle series and Fate is full of twists and turns. I read Fate after reading Close Encounters of the Curd Kind which is also set in Doyle. Highly recommend reading both. I enjoyed this book but I admit I find Jayce an exasperating heroine.

Another delightful Witches of Doyle book, and I loved how the events of this novel intertwined with those of Close Encounters of the Curd Kind. I'm glad I got to read them back to back!

Just really not a fan of Jayce. I feel like this book was particularly chaotic as the author tried to tell both this story and part of the story from another book - one magical and one not.

Exciting, fast paced, very hard to put down! I have always enjoyed Kirsten Weiss' books, and this is no exception. The Black Lodge comes to town, intent on stealing the Necronomicon, a magic book (not just a book of magic!) which they believe can be used to change the world in to a better place... but better for whom? The Black Lodge are dark magicians, powerful and selfish. And with the help of the book, they can open the portal to other beings. And Jayce and her sisters are really not sure if they are good enough or powerful enough to defeat them. And with them, come craziness and mania and panic and all sorts of other disturbances for the non magical people of Doyle.

Great read! Can hardly wait for the next one.

The circus has come to town, bringing black magic, murders and strange happenings around town with it. Jayce investigates the murders and tries to find if there is a connection to the circus, while keeping her sisters in the dark, for their own safety. Can she handle what she is about to come up against on her own? And what does the magical book that the sheriff won't let them see have to do with all of these things? The book was good, I missed a few books in the series, but had no trouble following the story. Plenty of paranormal action, murders, mystery, and romance.

The sisters seem to be caught working with a sort of supernatural sheriffs department, policing the wicked . An evil book went into evidence a while back, associated with a murder. A wave of dark magic seems to be headed towards town. A flurry of strange deaths follows.

Working together is something the sisters seem to still be learning, and trying to keep a recurring nightmare from coming true haunts Jayce, and keeps her from involving her sibs too much in some parts of her investigations.

Fabulous, funny, and a bit melancholy.

A riveting read!

This is the first in this series I’ve read, just like the 3rd book in the Wits End series was. I loved how they crossed into each other! It made things so much more enjoyable and explained things from the other book from a different perspective. I look forward to reading the past and future books in this series.

An enjoyable young adult fantasy romance series. I personally prefer series where each book is a stand alone, so the continued "main" theme in this story is a long time in resulting in resolution, which frustrates me a tad. I am however enjoying these stories and will be moving onto the next book.
