I've lived in Honduras, Grand Cayman, and Costa Rica. One of my favorite activities is exploring other cultures. My husband, Paul, and I have two grown children and five precious grandchildren. I love to hole up in our lake cabin and write -- often with a batch of popcorn nearby. (Oh, and did I mention dark chocolate?) And I can often be found walking the beaches of Costa Rica.

Ahhhh! I wasn't expecting the ending...
One of the things that I Truly love about Brenda Maxfield books is that they always have an ending. Well folks, I took off a .5 star because this one does not have an ending... This is part of a series you have to be reading the books in the series to get to the end when I started it that's all.
Now all her books are on Kindle Unlimited so I can read the next one. A little of Chapter One of book 2 is included so I wasn't left totally dangling.

Mistake
Jordan, AmIsh boy, had made a huge mistake. He had stolen a car and been sent to prison. Doris pined for him while he was away ignoring her "cousin" Mark who adored her.

Wonderful
I have read several of Brenda Maxfield's novels. This one did not disappoint. The characters become so real. I can't wait to get started on book #2 in this series. Happy reading!

Intriguing story involving a young Amish woman, Doris Glick whose beau is in jail for stealing a car. Her family is distressed, to say the least.
Also involved is her cousin, Matthew, whom is not her biological cousin, but has been raised in the family since they were children. He's in love with Doris. But they are cousins, right?
I gave 3 stars because this story ends very abruptly. I'm sure it continues in the next book, but I would prefer a little more info.

My Boyfriend
Great story about an Amish young man who stole a car. He is put in jail. The only e person who believes in him is his girl. Read how much trouble she gets in, and how it turns out.

Fascinating
Heads up right away, it's a two parter. A very interesting story with a lot of young adult angst, kept you wondering what might happen next.

Fabulous read, I enjoyed it so I bought The Punishment and The Revaltion

I read all three books. My favorite characters were Jordan , Doris,Annie and Mathew. Amazon needs to allow more stars for ratings.These 3 books I highly recommend.It has you laughing and being sad at times for the characters. I truly enjoy reading books by this author.
