Nourish: An Integrative Medicine Cookbook

Rate this book
As an Integrative Medicine and OB/GYN physician, herbalist, yoga instructor, nutritionist, and avid cook, these recipes have been developed over time, combining medicinal food and drinks, herbal medicine, and mind-body medicine. As I progressed through my medical training, it became apparent to me that many of the valuable skills I was learning helped patients in acute, life-threatening situations, but we did not have as much to offer for chronic, lifestyle-mediated diseases. I was taught to recognize and treat acute, life-threatening illnesses, but was never taught the answer to a different, very important “What makes a person well?”This book is a compilation of some ideas to try to answer that question.
