I think I may have found a new favorite genre, at least something by this author and her lead character Piper Ashwell. I loved this story from the very beginning. It's fast paced, serious, yet filled with some light-hearted humor. I like that. The setting is a small town where everyone knows one another. It's a very special occasion when a popular author comes from New York for a book signing. What happens at that event, however, sets the stage for the main story. There's a murder.

Well, it just so happens that Piper is there because her best friend Marcia owns the place. When she sees the place is swamped with customers, she stays to help out. Little did she suspect that she would also be there to help out the police, including her close friend Detective Mitchell. It turns out this pair have worked together to solve many cases, using Piper's psychic powers to lead them in the right direction. It was intriguing to follow them working this case and learning how Piper does what she does. I have to say again how much I loved this story and the way the story was told. Kudos to the author!

Loved it!!!

Never read a book by Kelly Hashway before.
But I started reading and it was so interesting I couldn't put it down!
The characters feel real and fun even though she's a psychic trying to solve a murder.
I'm definitely going to have to buy the books I missed before this one.
And I will continue reading this series as long as this fabulous author continues writing!

This was a very quick novella, but the mystery was anyway very well-built and we saw a good amount of visions, which I always enjoy reading.

And we meet Madison Kramer as well!! I know she is the protagonist of another series by this same author and I still need to get there, but after seeing her here, I can’t wait.
