Fascinating photography that evokes an earlier age than Ravilious worked in. I felt some of the text overstated the role of the photographs, but there is no doubt that Ravilious has a distinctive aesthetic sense that is informed by art history and his direct experience as a member of the rural Devon community that a large number of his images show to us.
