There were things about this story that I liked and things I didn't. But that is with any book.
I loved that Cole isn't your typical a-hole rock star. He is a gentleman. It seems odd to say that about a rocker, but he is. He courts Madi. He takes her for dates, he explains his past. The love letters, the songs, OMG!! More of him, please! He is the best character in this book hands down. I wish the book was told in his POV. How he saw things, how he wanted things to progress.
Cole - I’d wait forever for you, but 15 days is long enough.
“I must have you, Madi, devour you. I can’t wait another second.”
YES PLEASE!!
Be still my heart! Cole!! He's NOT like other rockers, he's in a class of his own and frankly, he made the book ok.
Madi to me never grew up. She might work in PR, but the way she acts and talks to her boss in the book, she is very immature. Maybe her immaturity had to do with the fact that she was married young and now a rockstar liked her. Who knows.
The location was New Orleans - love that town. However, I didn't get the NOLA vibe at all. I got the drunk girl's vibe. They were there to party, but that city is a party. Honestly, this story could have been set in Anytown, USA. The few details that were given were so scant, that it really didn't matter where the story was set.
I wouldn't classify this book as a humorous erotica. This is a new adult/contemporary romance. The few sex scenes weren't spicy/hot/intense. There were also many grammar and spelling mistakes that were distracting.
