This book is a must read (or at least must have) for any serious follower of the conflict between Japan and the Allies. The book is not designed to be read as a narrative. It is more of a reference work and a complete one at that.

THE gold standard for WWII Japanese aircraft reference. As another review pointed out, not a narrative, but the perfect book for studying/learning of particular Japanese aircraft. It's size is perfect for on the go study at museums, scale modeling events, etc

It is not without its errors, but this is the best single-volume reference work on Japanese aircraft from the Asia-Pacific War in the English language.

Probably the most complete guide to Japanese planes.
All planes have complete technical characteristics, history of development and schemes.

Also, really great pictures.
