Two short stories, Victims and Emma's Inner Torture
Victims—Olivia's Parents died in a car crash, now three years on, she must relive that fateful day. Will she be able to open up to her brother and aunt?
Emma's Inner Torture—Emma's father has become increasingly violent since Emma's death, forcing her to escape to a world run by a tyrant King. Will she stand up to the cruel men in her life?
An engaging collection of two tragic stories evolving grief.
The first story drew me in. It felt like a teaser before the main event as a child revisits the night of her parents' death three years after the event.
Emma’s inner torture was my favourite. Emma experiences a journey to help her gain the confidence she needs to confront her father. This story has Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz & Narnia feels and I liked it a lot.
I would love to find out what happens next with Emma and her father. However, the ending leaves it open to interpretation and I feel that is better for this story than a closed ending. Really worth a read!
I love this book. All of the stories hook you right in. The 1st story was my favourite made me sob but its written amazingly and i could picture the whole story in my head. Highly recommend anyone to read this
