Ok read

Back in the day when authors write books they wrote novels. There wasn't all these continuations . Why can't these new school authors just do the same? I get so tired of reading books only having to read three and four parts to get to the end of the story. Most of the time it can all be summed up in one book. These hundred page books have to stop. Most of the time I never get to the other parts because I have forgotten about the book all together. This was a decent read. It kept my interest but because part two is not out I'll never know how it ends.

That B@st@rd!!!!

I knew it, I knew he would do something stupid! First off Gigi should have demanded the relationship end when Jenny beat her into early labor. He could have killed her and Maci then. To allow him to be anything other than a co- parent was lunacy and a disaster waiting to happen. I did think Nikki's opinion of her mother and father's abusive relationship was hypocritical but then again it's always easier to see the faults in others before your own. Their mother was just pathetic, to me, there's not that much love or infatuation with love in the world to go back to a man that crippled me! I'm opening my wine, lighting my candles, snuggling in my favorite blanket and digging in to book 2. I can't wait to find out what happened.

Breaking the cycle

Love doesn’t hurt, Cycles of abuse ,Nikki watched her mother be abused and wound up in a similar situation,For her mother to go back to a violent marriage after the traumatic life and speak to just do what a man says will keep him happy, and you would think from seeing his father kill his mother and aunt he would treat women better ,can’t wait to see what happens did he kill his daughter and Nikki for speaking up

Another Great Read!

Lady Lissa comes through again with another view in domestic violence. She brings teen domestic violence to the forefront. It never cease to amaze me how the abused victim always blame themselves for their abuse, when that is definitely not the case. Jeremy followed right into his dad’s footsteps as an abuser, while Nikki followed her mom’s footsteps and blamed herself for the abuse. I can’t wait to read book two.

Emotional Ride

Wow, the author really tackles & exposes domestic violence and the how abusive most relationships are. The pain and suffering the victims and they families go through is hard to read at times. Makes you just want reach in and shake the victims and make them get out of the situation before it's too late. Jeremy and Leon need to be thrown under the jail. Taking a deep breath and going on to part 2.

Wow!!

Oh my goodness I hope Nikki and Maci are good but I really have a bad feeling about this. I wonder why Nikki couldn't see Jeremy was just like her father. Love makes us do some crazy things. I'm so ready for part 2. I didn't want this book to end yet. Great writing definitely a 5 star read.

He is damn sho his daddy's son. For Nikki to continue to stay with him. She's most definitely her mother's daughter too. It is a vicious cycle. Now he's killed her and their oldest. He's real Bitch made for that....

Sad yet gripping story...on my way to Pt 2

Wow. October is Domestic violence awareness month. This story is the story tragically of many of are victims of Domestic violence.

In the novel, without giving anything away....the victim had a lifetime of dysfunction all around her. It was her normal. Does this make it right? Absolutely not!

Ahhhh...it is hard to put a review into words as at times I wanted to shake some sense into Nikki and her mom. I tried to understand their mindset, I could not.

Jeremy-also a product of his very dysfunctional and tragic environment. This was his normal.

Their stories are very sad.

Very gripping story. On to book 2.

Sending love and prayers to all victims of Domestic violence.

A heart warming story you won’t be disappointed

Jermey is a f boy he needs to be under the jail cell for putting his hands on Nikki she should of listened to her sister when she told her that Jermey is no good for her I hope it’s not to late because now her other two kids will be without both parents and they will have so much resentment towards their dad if he did kill their sister or mother. It’s sad that Nikki didn’t learn from her parents abuse and now she suffered the same thing this is a sad situation some people don’t make it out of this situation we must bring awareness and do better to leave toxic situations like this

When She

I hope Nikki and Maci are ok! That dam Jeremy need counseling and his ass whooped! That makes no dam sense to be that dam evil. U would’ve thought that he learned from his parents and the story she told him about her parents. But I guess not!!! Get yourself and your children out of situations like that! Talk to your children and tell them it’s not ok to hit a female or a male. Domestic Violence is real and it’s sad and horrible!! I hope Nikki is ok and Maci. If Jeremey killed his wife and first born, throw his ass under the jail!!!

Reflection of Violence...

Having dealt with and grew up with domestic violence as well as other things in my home, I truly found this book relatable. I love how the author shows the different aspects of how domestic violence affects each character currently or later in life. I dam definitely looking forward to the next part to this story. Great job Lady Lissa

interesting

This is the first time I read a book that expresses all of the emotions , trauma and pain regarding parents behaviour and their consequences. I had to say I don’t want to understand why Nikki couldn’t just listen and move on with her life , this situation is so sad . I can’t wait to read book 2 and discover what happen to her and her daughter .

Wow

Domestic violence is so real. To go through it at a young age and not have the support of your mother is horrible. Even the mother talking about things being her fault was crazy! Please let me know when book 2 is ready

Good read

You'd think when kids are raised witnessing domestic violence in the home, they'd recognize it, do differently once they're grown. Unfortunately, too many repeat the cycle because it's the only 'love' they were taught. Lady Lissa captured this dead on. Good read.

Gigi should put a stop to Nikki seeing Jeremy. The mother is so brainwashed she taught her daughter that this is what you put up with. Jeremy needs someone to whoop his ass!!! I hopi Nikki & Maci are OK. I knew he was going to do something to her eventually. Very good book.
