The Girl on the Bridge

Rate this book
It is the summer of 1967. Kevin Edwards, recently returned from Vietnam, suffers from PTSD, but the treatments from the VA Hospital are doing more than helping him cope. He cannot remember things he knows he should, and his life begins to collapse. With his sanity in question, he falls into the deepest despair. He meets a girl, Cherokee Irons, falls in love, and slowly with her help begins to pick up the pieces of his shattered life. The two of them begin a strange odyssey, a quest for understanding that leads them into a labyrinth of deceit and peril. Each new insight puts their lives more at risk. The key to survival lies in his lost memory, and the two of them find themselves pitted against powerful forces, their very lives in the balance, as they come to understand what happened in Vietnam in the summer of 1965.
