An insightful biography of the greatest ever underplaying actor of all time; the book does take a look at his alcoholism, as well as his relationship with Hepburn, his Oscars and more. 6 out of 12.

Good read and quite a sad one too! He was a fabulous actor, a doting father, and yet, so complicated. He blamed himself for having a deaf son, fell in love with Katharine Hepburn despite the fact that he never divorced his wife, and went on the downward spiral due to alcoholism. The biggest question is Why did he behave like that?

An interesting book about Tracy filled with quotations from those who knew him and worked with him over the years.
