If you would like for your child to enjoy numbers while learning about another country and its culture, this book is for you! During its adventure in China, No. 7 learns and teaches the reader about many important and unique sites in China, as well as its resident animals (real and mystical, such as dragons!). The souvenirs No. 7 collects along the way, such as chopsticks, add further color to the reader’s understanding of the Chinese culture.

I really enjoyed the realistic pictures of the sites in China juxtaposed with the illustrated animals and souvenirs on each page. The reader will enjoy counting to seven on each page, reinforcing their knowledge and recognition of the number. Ronit Tal Shaltiel helps make learning fun with this informational and entertaining book!

This book is perfect for young readers, and it makes learning math fun. The number 7 goes on an adventure through China and meets a lot of different animals. The reader gets to count the animals and learns simple addition throughout the book. The illustrations are bright and beautiful, and really compliment the story. They make you feel like you are actually visiting China. The animals are very cute and engaging, which keeps the children's attention. Overall, a wonderful book for learning about math and China.

Number 7 is a nice book to read to your children, it is about number 7 travelling to China and his adventures mainly with animals. I like the idea that numbers can have adventures and fun. It is also educational. The book shows different places special and animals in China. I am curious where the other numbers are going. Recommended to practice numbers with children. 😊

What a great and original way to introduce math to young children! The book presents and reinforces the concept of 7 along with the discovery of another culture, China
Each page presents another place and animal in one of the many regions in China. . Children will love the fun facts about the different animals that No. 7 visits. Many of the pictures are breathtaking. In each place, No. 7 receives a typical souvenir of China: calligraphy, ceramics, flag, lantern. Children are encouraged to count the animals. There are seven animals on each page. But while the children are counting, they are also reviewing the numbers 1-6. Some simple addition problems are also included.
Back home from travel, there is a party with all the numbers, and more simple addition problems, plus a fun review of the souvenirs that No. 7 collected during his journey.
It is so important for children to be comfortable with the numbers. By the end of the book, author Ronit Tal Shaltiel has achieved her goal: children have mastered the concept of 7, and they have had an entertaining and educational visit to China.
