As the learned mortals in her care prepare to board the city-ship Nephele high above the Earth, the goddess Hera bids farewell to the living world she once dutifully protected. With half the Olympian Court set out to join her in her journey across the stars, the Queen of Olympus must lay to rest her grief at losing her remaining allies among the chthonic powers of old.

Petitioned by the gods of Earth, Sea, and Sky, Zeus plots with Aphrodite to compel Hera to return to his side on starry Olympus. In doing so, Zeus leverages the fate of the Nephele, and their daughter Junia who is also bound for the stars.

As lines are drawn between the immortals, Junia realizes she has a role yet to play. Junia grows wise in the ways of Olympus and with the help of her sister Eris, goddess of chaos, she may be the key to averting disaster for all Life on Earth and the stars beyond, as both Hera and Zeus continue their neverending battle of wits.
