The World We Once Knew #2.5

The World That Was

Rate this book
Sylvia Flanders. Beloved, divorced professor living at home with a quiet life. Dead. Why?

The small college town within the University of Central Florida was rocked by her murder, but barely made a difference in the lives of the ones who knew her. Why? Where are the police and why did they suddenly close her case?

Those were but many questions without answers running through Lea Dixon’s mind. Though, that was her life. One she had trouble navigating without solutions given to her. With life mapped out for her, much to her chagrin, she continues to do what’s expected. She always had. But when murder occurs, her favorite professor suddenly retires, and a new, mysterious man takes his place, Lea stumbles for the first time. With her life in a sudden spiral and the threads of her future frayed, how does she find herself mixed up in a conspiracy hiding in plain sight? What happens in the End? To realize the answers, one must first take a step back into the past to gain understanding of events eighteen months in the future.

May God have mercy on them all.

What you think is another love story really unveils a plot twist that you honestly don't see coming!

It starts off with a mysterious death and ends with the beginning of the end of the world. Lea and Adrian have more than just couple troubles to deal with. Although it is book 3 of the The World We Once Knew series, this is more of a prequel that introduces the characters and story that lead to the beginning of TWWOK Book 1.

I am loving how the story line is developing. We do get the romantic struggles of Lea, who is having to stand up to her over bearing mother and give in to her feelings to her handsome, yet secretive professor Adrian. However, its the things from the outside world that have a greater impact on their relationship.

This books really sucks you in and makes you excited for the continuation of this series! I can't wait!
