Raising Great Kids in a Tough World

Rate this book
Parenting is a tough challenge that doesn't come with an instruction book. Most adults mimic the parenting techniques from their own family history - even the unhealthy ones. Raising Great Kids in a Tough World will help Christian parents to chart their own strategy and style for raising well-balanced kids. Because the book is not age specific, it addresses parenting dilemmas of all age children. Parents will discover guidance and wisdom on all topics including building self-esteem in children, communications for a lifelong relationship, effective discipline and training, teaching kids how to manage money, and spiritual training.

I was a pretty quick read and maybe if I read this when my kids were younger I might have given it a higher review or implemented some of her suggestions. However, mine are pretty much all grown and though I did some of the things in here or a variation, I did not have this book to give me the idea. Also, there were some books she suggested/spoke about that I don't agree with but with any self-help/parenting book or topic you can't take it all as blanket but take what you can from it and use it then toss aside the rest or what doesn't apply.
