A lot has changed since the 90s so not everything is up-to-date - but it's still a pretty good guidebook. Interesting, too, the history of Earl May nurseries and Earl May himself. I had no idea that this nursery originated in the Midwest. The book is divided in sections about annuals, bulbs, food gardens, ground covers, ornamental grasses, perennials, shrubs, trees, vines and wildflowers as well as a small section about planting, pruning, dividing perennials and staking.
