This Terry Venables book feels intelligently and thoughtfully written, especially in the first half although lacks something overall. He thinks and talks about the past, the present and the future of football as well as his time managing England. I enjoyed the part of him discussing who he thought were the greatest players and making the few lineups of players using certain, specific rules. At times though, this book does feel a bit like 'people said this but they were wrong and this is why' at times and he does spend a lot of time complaining during this book, or at least that is how I have interpreted it. Overall, I found this book quite difficult to get into and it never really hooked me.
