For a collection of poems this isn’t really a short book, it has 115 pages, and Ewart poetry is rich and generous, yet never verbose. Poetry is very personal. I read several poems a few times because I wanted to ‘feel’ them! I truly enjoyed some of them but there were others that didn’t work for me. This book could have been better organised to make it more cohesive.

I expect to read this collection of poems again one day, but I know it won’t be soon.
