"The consequence of conversion, for Mennonites, means participation in a faith community, a way of life, having the qualities of a quiet composure, peace, and willingness to suffer for the faith."

I found this book to be a very easy to understand summary of Mennonite history and beliefs. Since I am 100% ethnically Mennonite, growing up in this community of Christians, and a member of a Mennonite Brethren church, I found it to be a great summary of what all that actually means and where it came from. Helpful for when I am asked, "so what is a Mennonite exactly?"
