"The Legal Rights of Union Stewards" is a good book to use as reference material. It was surprisingly fun to read, written as it was in a non-technical style, and with most of the information presented in a question and answer format. The book covers interesting situations that serve as real life examples of the rights of union members, and it provides helpful advice on issues that a union steward is almost certain to encounter.

I do, however, think the way the book is organized might make it slightly difficult to look up certain key points for future reference.

I think that so much information can be found within the question and answer formats that one would have to be fairly familiar with the material within the book to quickly find answers to a given question. For example, if a Steward wanted to find an answer to a question regarding, say, a grievance process, they might have to read large portions of the chapter of this book devoted to the topic to find their answer.

The book is an easy read though, so flipping through its pages while looking for the answer to a question shouldn't be a big deal. If someone was in a hurry to find an answer to some questions ASAP! they might be a little miffed at having to hunt for the information they are searching for, and so this book might not be the most practical reference material for them to grab first.

However, it's a fun read that provides a nice overview of various topics of interest to union stewards, and I think its definitely a valuable book for any union member to read--whether they be a union representative or not.
