A fascinating technical guide to the Type VII U-Boat, the most common and ubiquitous submarine of the German Navy in WW2. The book focuses entirely on the technical feautures and components of these boats and is neither an operational nor a design history.
Having said that it is full of interesting information on the Type VII variants, their weapons, sensors, defense mechanisms, internal layout and more. It is well illustrated with both captioned pictures and line drawings that make it much easier to visualise everything explained in the text. Worth a read for anybody interested in WW2 or submarines in general.
