A wonderful work on the biography of the founder of homeopathy, Dr samual hahnemann. Giving his wandering life through persecution and tragedy to eventual success and the establishment of homeopathic medicine.
This is a nice concise biography of Samuel Hahnemann. Easy to read and very informative. Well researched. I was surprised at the amount of real information available in so few pages.
Hahnemann led a fascinating life that led him to discover homeopathy and the scientific methods that are now used to test all drugs. He is really an unsung hero in medical history.
A well written and readable concise biography of the founder of homoeopathic medicine. If there is any point to raise against it, it is that those who opposed Samuel Hahnemann and homoeopathy when he was alive are almost all portrayed as aggressively hypercritical, old fashioned in their methods of treatment, and determined to push the innovator out into the cold. It doesn't help to be told on the dustjacket of the first edition that the author was, at the time of publication, the Managing Director of A. Nelson & Co. Ltd of London and Vice-President of Nelson & Mylans California Inc. of San Francisco, both of which are homoeopathic pharmaceutical companies. So perhaps the biography is not written from a completely unbiased point of view. Even so it is a pleasant trip into the late eighteenth and early nineteenth-century history of European medical science and its practitioners.
