I've been a musician, a programmer, and a website developer -- and now I seem to have become a novelist.

I've been a writer for decades -- documentation, computer books, magazine articles, short stories. But it turns out that writing a novel is an order of magnitude more challenging than, say, writing a book about artificial intelligence. Who knew?

The events in "Transition" take place over the backdrop of the triathlon, in which I became interested after hearing about Julie Moss' miraculous finish at the 1982 Ironman. I started to train to become a triathlete, and I actually completed a couple of sprint-distance triathlons, and I had every intention of training for longer distances... and then I discovered that writing about long-distance triathlons was a LOT easier than training for them. The result of that discovery: "Transition: The Triathlon Thriller."

And speaking of things that are shorter than an Ironman: I just published "Dream Girl and Other Stories," a collection of short stories that I've written over the last few decades. I originally published "Dream Girl" seven years ago, but this is much more than just a re-release, as I've added four new stories to the seven stories that were in the original book. You'll find that "Dream Girl" is an eclectic mix of stores, so there's something there for everybody. Enjoy!

The fact that I wrote this book and the fact that I gave it a five-star rating are unrelated. :)
