This electronic version on CD-ROM, which is based on the new 2002 edition, is a desktop tool providing quick and easy access to the wealth of information the Lexicon has to offer. With basic and advanced searches, it is possible to search main entries and their variant forms, as well as the occurrence of words in the sources quoted throughout the dictionary. In addition, searches may be limited by searching for meanings from a certain period only. The dictionary is fully cross-referenced, using hyperlinks to main entries and full source citations. To run the CD under Vista, a so-called patch needs to be installed. Please send an e-mail to support@brill.nl, subject: "vista-patch" to receive the patch. Brill will not guarantee proper functioning using other browsers and or versions than Internet Explorer internet browser version 5.5 up to 7.0.
