I wanted to read this because I picked it up second hand in a little village shop and it looked interesting. I had never heard of Ada Chew before I read it and yet she worked incredibly hard to fight for more equality in the workplace as well as to establish better conditions for working mothers. I loved her passion and her efforts to challenge the way things were and the treatment of women. I'm glad I read it as I like history books about people that have been forgotten or aren't widely recognised.
